Romans 5:1-2 (NIV) - Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Background & Application - Paul wrote this Epistle, or letter, to the Romans which lays out the core of the gospel message: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone. His intent is to explain the good news of Jesus Christ in accurate and clear terms. Faith can also be translated from the Greek verb πιστεύω (pisteuo), meaning "to trust, to have confidence, faithfulness, to be reliable, to assure
1. What does faith mean to you?
2. Where have you seen God be faithful to you? How can we as Christians be faithful to God?
3. What areas of your life have you not given over to Him?

John 20:29 - Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Matthew 14:29-31 - “He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Psalm 136 - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever.
Hebrews 11:1-3 - Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For by this our ancestors were approved. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.
This week, read Hebrews 11 and dive deeper into the stories of his faithfulness. Note how sometimes it will look very different than we want or expect. Will we be faithful when we feel we are not heard? He is!
