Psalm 144:1-2 - Praise the Lord who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me.”

  • If we make God the foundation of our lives, we will be unstoppable men (Matthew 7:24-29)

  • We do not derive our strength from ourselves, it comes from the Lord

  • We have a steadfast God who will protect us from anything this World throws at us

  • God can overwhelm all odds

Background

  • Israelites have turned their backs on the Lord once again

  • Their enemy, the Philistines, attack and rule over them

  • Samson will “Judge” Israel and lead them out of oppression

  • His hair should never be cut

Reflect

  • Samson was living an absolute rockstar lifestyle

  • Samson is a tragic example of wasted potential

  • God used Samson despite his shortcomings

  • God is always faithful to us (2 Tim. 2:13). He never forsook Samson

  • Look out for ungodly women!! (Prov. 5:3-6)
